25 March 2011 - BUS COMPANY HAS AGREED TO DISCUSS CHANGES TO THE ROUTE TO COLLECT & DROP PASSENGERS IN SANDHOE

Following representation, the Parish Council discussed the route of the 74 bus.  This service is very useful for all those in Oakwood, Anick and Beaufront Woodhead - it links Hexham and Newcastle via the airport.  The timetable is available from this site.  It does not currently serve Sandhoe as it turns left just before Beaufront School and goes up Fern Hill to the Military Road.  The Council has agreed to seek the re-routing of the service through Sandhoe and will be making representations to the bus com-pany and others.  Do you have a view?  We are especially interested in hearing from Sandhoe residents.  Please contact one of your Councillors or the clerk whose details can be found here.
